Managing Tracking Technologies
Using Cookie Consent, you can manage tracking technologies from the Tracking technologies screen. This interface allows you to log and categorize tracking technologies on your websites or SDKs and enhances insight into your websites' or apps' tracking technologies by linking them to vendors and hosts.
How Categorization Works
Tenant-level pattern recognition
Tenant-level patterns allow you to define and manage cookie patterns once, applying them globally across all domains or selectively per domain. Domain-specific patterns take priority over tenant-wide ones. Tenant-level patterns allow you to consolidate the same tracking technology across your domains without impacting pattern recognition beyond your tenant.
The scanner automatically detects recurring technologies across your domains within you tenant. After a technology is detected at least three times, a patter is created.
Once this pattern is detected,
-
Matching cookies in your tenant are merged automatically.
-
One consolidated cookie replaces any duplicates.
-
Rescanning is not required.
First-Party Cookies: Cookies that contain a pattern are categorized by pattern. Unique cookies (without a pattern) are categorized either by cookie contribution or through the Cookiepedia database.
Third-Party Cookies: Cookies with a pattern and Cookiepedia-known host are categorized by pattern. Cookies with a known host and no pattern are categorized based on host-cookie matching, or by host categorization if a match is not found. Cookies with no pattern and that cannot be found in cookie contributions are categorized by their host's categorization.
