Passing Additional Parameters Through the Web Form Submission
You can configure the web form to intake additional parameters that are not configured as fields on the web form, such as cookie values, internal IDs, web form hosting location, etc., that can be hidden from the data subject.
Things to Know
Fields passed through the web form URL will be tagged as internal, indicating that the fields will not be visible to the data subject in emails or in the data subject portal. These fields will only be visible to the privacy team.
The parameter should be appended to the end of the URL using the format: [web form URL]?[parameter1]=[1234]&[parameter2]=abc.
The parameter must be appended to the URL before the user loads the URLs.
Exporting Query Parameters
You can export all data that is collected for a request, which includes fields created at the time of the request submission passed through URL query parameters. The Request Queue export will consolidate these fields to the same column for accessible viewing and exporting.
Additionally, field data created for requests through query parameters prior to OneTrust 6.0 will be included in the export.
