Configuring Advanced Attributes

You can configure new attributes to have Basic or Advanced tracking. Basic attributes are tracked at the inventory level, Advanced attributes are tracked at the related personal data level. Advanced attributes are contextual and are populated at the relationship level. Advanced attributes cannot be captured directly at the inventory record level.

Note:

Once the attribute is configured and saved as an advanced attribute, it can not be changed back to a basic attribute.

To configure advanced attributes

  1. On the Data Mapping Automation menu, select Inventory Manager under Setup. The Inventory Manager screen appears.

  2. Click the View button on either Asset Attributes or Process Attributes. The corresponding Attributes screen appears.

  3. Click the Add Attribute button. The Add Attribute modal appears.

  4. Complete the fields. For more info, see Add Attribute Screen Reference.
  5. Select Advanced Tracking (Related Level).
  6. Click the Save Attribute button.

Field
Description
Name of Key

Enter the name of the key.

Description Key

Enter a brief description of the key.

Response Type

Select the type of response which should be associated with the attribute.

When an inventory record is created for this inventory type, the attribute value will be populated with this type of response.

Select Text to all users to enter text as the attribute value.

Select Single Select to allow users to select one option as the attribute value.

Select Multi Select to allow users to select multiple options as the attribute values.

Select Date to allow users to select a date as the attribute value.

Basic Tracking (Inventory Level)

Populate and report on this attribute at the inventory record level per processing activity or asset.

Attributes captured via Basic Tracking are displayed on the inventory details page and can be populated directly at the inventory record level.

Advanced Tracking (Related Level)

Populate and report on this attribute per each related record of the type selected below, that is linked to the asset.

Attributes captured via Advanced Tracking are not displayed on the inventory details page and cannot be populated directly at the asset or processing activity record level. These attributes can be viewed and edited in the Related tab and can only be populated per each related record.

Related Inventory Type

Select the level the the attribute is tracked.

Note:

This field will auto-populate with Personal Data when Advanced Tracking is selected.
