Converting User-Type Attributes to Multi-Select

In Data Mapping Automation, you can convert user-type attributes to multi-select to indicate multiple owners on an inventory record. Supported system user-type attributes are as follows:

  • IT Owner (Assets)

  • Business Owner (Processing Activities)

  • Data Protection Officer (Entities)

  • Legal Entity Owner (Entities)

  • Representative Name (Entities)

  • Business Process Owners (Vendors)

  • Primary Vendor Contact (Vendors)

To convert a user-type attribute to multi-select

  1. On the Data Mapping Automation menu, select Inventory Manager under Setup. The Inventory Manager screen appears.

  2. Click the View button of the tile for the inventory type for which you want to convert user-type attributes. The Attributes screen for that inventory type appears.

  3. Select the key of a user attribute you want to convert from the list. The Attribute Details screen appears.

  4. Click the Edit Key button. The Edit Key modal appears.

  5. Select Multi-Select in the Response Type field.


  6. Click the Save Attribute button.
    Attention:

    Once a user-type attribute is converted to multi-select, it cannot be reverted to single-select.

To add multiple users to an inventory record

  1. On the Data Mapping Automation menu, select Assets, Processing Activity, Legal Entities, or Vendors. The relevant inventory list screen appears.

  2. Click on the name of the inventory record for which you want to add multiple users. The Inventory Details screen appears.

  3. Click the Edit icon next to a user-type attribute field.
  4. Add users as needed.


  5. Click the Save button.
