Configuring Default Assessment Deadlines and Reminders

When configuring templates in PIA & DPIA Automation, you can configure a default assessment length and reminder cadence.

When an assessment is launched, the Default assessment length is used to calculate the deadline (launch date + assessment length).

The deadline and reminder fields (if available) are then auto-populated with these values when the assessment is launched.

  • Default assessment length (days).

    • Send email reminder, or the default email reminder (days before the due date).

    • Send email to, or the reminder recipients (contributors, workflow approvers, or both).

      Note:

Because email reminders depend on the deadline, these fields become available once the assessment length value has been entered.

To configure default deadlines and reminders

  1. On the PIA & DPIA Automation menu, select Setup > Templates. The Templates screen appears.

  2. Hover over a template tile until the View or Edit Draft button appears.
    Note:

You can also configure these settings when creating a new custom or gallery-based template.

  3. Click the View or Edit Draft button. The Template Builder appears.
    Note:

You can edit a published template by selecting the Create New Version button.

  4. Go to the Details tab.
  5. Click the Default assessment length field. The fields displays as editable.

  6. Enter the default length. The Send email reminder field displays as editable.
  7. Select a number of days before the deadline. The Send email to field displays as editable.
  8. Select the appropriate reminder recipients.
  9. Click the Save button.
