Managing Relationship Records
You can associate a record of one Object Type to a record of another Object Type by creating a Relationship Record. Not to be confused with a Relationship Type, a Relationship Record consists of the two related objects, their Relationship Type, the respective directionality labels and attributes. Linking objects and establishing relationships between them allows you to build a detailed representation of your data.
When considering the relationship between inventory records, it is important to understand that there is no fixed limit to the number of records that can be linked to one record. A latency issue may occur if there are thousands of relationships created; otherwise, there should not be an issue for several hundred records. This means that while it is generally feasible to manage several hundred records within a single record without encountering significant latency problems, exceeding thousands of relationships might lead to performance issues.
To create Relationship Records
The Relationship Type(s) available for a specific Object Record is driven by the Relationship Type schema defined for the Object Type. Once a Relationship Record is created it can be viewed while in the context of either of the Object Records in which the relationship is linked.
