Managing Screening Result Matches
You can dismiss and confirm matches to records that have been screened by Dow Jones. The action of dismissing matches in the Third-Party Due Diligence module is known as false positive mitigation. False positive mitigation is directly related to the third-party risk attributes since the attributes are updated based on dismissed and confirmed matches.
When a match is dismissed, the risk attributes are removed and the record will no longer be monitored. When a match is confirmed, the flagged risks attributed will remain and the record will be monitored. OneTrust will send alerts via email and in-app notifications when a new risk is identified on a match. The alert will allow users to access a summary of newly surfaced risks.
Best Practice
It is best practice to create screening-specific risks on the Risks tab of the Third-Party Details screen after users have already dismissed any false positive matches. For more information, see Using the Risk Library.
To dismiss a match
The monitoring of third-parties will continue until the match is dismissed for users who have monitoring enabled. Once the match is dismissed, it will be removed from ongoing monitoring.
