Configuring Geolocation Capture

You can capture data subjects' geolocation by enabling the Enable geolocation tracking for this purpose setting on a Purpose. When a data subject consents to a Purpose, their geolocation will be saved in the data subject's profile and in the associated consent receipts. For more information, see Data Subject Details Screen Reference (Profile tab) , Data Subject Details Screen Reference (Purposes tab) , Receipt Details Screen Reference , Collection Point Details Screen Reference .

In addition, you can identify when a Purpose is capturing geolocation in Custom API Collection Points, OneTrust Hosted Web Form and OneTrust Embedded Web Form Collection Point types and Preference Centers. Hover over the Geolocation icon to view if a Purpose is capturing the data subject's location when they provide consent across the Universal Consent & Preference Management module.
