Configuring Translations for a Multi Page Preference Center

You can translate your Multi Page Preference Center into additional languages. Translations for your Preference Center can be managed directly on the Translations tab on the Preference Center Details screen.

To configure language options

  1. On the Universal Consent & Preference Management menu, select Interfaces > Preference Centers. The Preference Centers screen appears.

  2. Click the link in the Name column for the Preference Center that you want to translate into additional languages. The Builder tab on the Preference Center Details screen appears.

  3. Navigate to the Translations tab.
  4. Click the Manage Languages button. The Manage Languages modal appears.

  5. Select the check boxes corresponding to the languages into which you want the Preference Center to be translated.
    Note:

You can enable the Show advanced language options setting to select additional language variations for specific regions, such as Spanish (Argentina), Spanish (Colombia), French (France), French (Luxembourg), and more.

  6. Click the Save button. The selected languages appear in In Progress status.

To edit translations

Once you have selected languages for your Preference Center using the Manage Languages modal, the languages will appear on the Translations tab in In Progress status. You can then begin adding translations for the content within your Preference Center for those languages.

Note:

Only languages with a Completed translation status will be published when you publish the Multi Page Preference Center. Languages with an In Progress translation status will remain unpublished.

  1. Navigate to the Translations tab on the Preference Center Details screen for the Multi Page Preference Center that you want to translate into additional languages.
  2. Click the link in the Language column for the language for which you want to edit the translation. The Translation Details screen appears.

  3. Enter the translation for the source text in the corresponding fields in the Target Translation section.
  4. Click the Save Page button.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each page structure within the Multi Page Preference Center. The Pages field can be used to navigate between each page created in the Multi Page Preference Center. A green check mark will display for a page in the Pages field when all translations for that page have been completed.
    Note:

Translations for purposes, purpose preferences, and data elements are auto-populated from the translations made on the Purposes, Purpose Preferences, and Data Elements screens. If additional translations are needed for that content, you will need to navigate to the respective screen to add the translation.

  6. Once translations for all pages in the Multi Page Preference Center have been completed, the language record will appear in a Completed translation status.
