Integrating a Multi Page Preference Center

You can utilize either the Preference Center Login URL or Magic Link URL to share your Multi Page Preference Center with data subjects. You can also embed a copy of your Multi Page Preference Center on your website using a provided iFrame Script. You can copy these links directly from the Integrations tab on the Preference Center Details screen for your Multi Page Preference Center.

To copy a link to the Multi Page Preference Center

  1. On the Universal Consent & Preference Management menu, select Interfaces > Preference Centers. The Preference Centers screen appears.

  2. Click the link in the Name column for the Multi Page Preference Center that you want to integrate. The Builder tab on the Preference Center Details screen appears.

  3. Navigate to the Integrations tab.

  4. Click the Copy button in the Login URL field to copy a link to the Multi Page Preference Center login screen and paste the link on the pages of your web site where you want data subjects to be able to access the Preference Center.

To set up Multi Page Preference Center Magic Links

Note:

To use the Magic Link URL, you must enable magic links on the Universal Consent & Preference Management Settings screen.

  4. Click the Copy button in the Magic Link URL field. In the URL, replace <tokenid> with magic link tokens to create direct login links for each data subject.
    Note:

Data subject link tokens must be URL encoded to ensure proper functionality.

You can retrieve a list of magic link tokens using the Get List of Data Subject Tokens API in the OneTrust Developer Portal.

    Attention:

These OneTrust APIs are meant to be used only on the backend servers, not on the frontend. On the frontend user interface (UI), the customer is responsible for handling authentication in order to display preferences using the data received from the OneTrust APIs. However, it is crucial not to use OneTrust API Keys or Client Credentials on the frontend to prevent users from gaining unauthorized access to the OneTrust APIs.

Note:

Magic link tokens allow authenticated access to a Preference Center without logging in. They can be stored client-side or retrieved in real-time from OneTrust via API when a data subject logs into their profile.

  1. Navigate to the OneTrust Developer Portal.
  2. Use the Get List of Data Subject Tokens API to retrieve a list of magic link tokens.
