Can you upload externally developed rules to Cookie Consent?

Does OneTrust/CookiePro act as Data Processor when providing services as Cookie Consent Manager?

OneTrust is a Data Processor when it delivers the Cookie Consent service. Our role is defined in the DPA we offer customers.

Can I copy the Cookie Consent module from one environment to another?

It is possible to perform an environment copy, but we recommend that you speak to your OneTrust contact to confirm if this is suitable for your case. Your domains, scan settings, templates, and geolocation rules will all be copied. Please note, the Cookie Consent script will be copied, although you will not be able to use the same script ID in both environments, so you will need to decide whether a new script ID is generated for the old or new environment.

  • Scan results and historic scan results will not be transferred due to architectural constraints.

  • Consent receipts could potentially be transferred; however, this is discouraged as there is potential for corrupted data with existing collection points in banners and the large volume of data.

  • Banner scripts are not copied from one environment to another at the writing of this document. This means that a new script URL will need to be used in the environment.
