OneTrust Release Process
The OneTrust Product Team is working hard to release features and fixes that have been prioritized by customer feedback and market demand. Please see the following sections to ensure that your team has the latest information about upcoming OneTrust releases.
Release Process
Each release is thoroughly tested in our QA and Staging environments before we push to production. In addition, your team can test the latest release in your User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment, generally 7 days before your production environment is upgraded.
UAT environments are a paid service or included in Enterprise subscriptions. Please contact OneTrust Support for more details.

Strictly conceptual designs with internal teams inspecting the why, what, and how of the proposed idea against market need. |
Development begins with early UX designs and architecture refinement. Code is not ready to be viewed by customers. |
Early-stage version of a new feature that is not yet fully developed or ready for release. Access is limited to a small, controlled group of customers selected by the Product team to provide early feedback and help shape the feature before it moves to Public Preview. Not listed in release notes and myOneTrust article may not be available. |
Broadly available feature that is disabled by default and must be manually enabled for the tenant by OneTrust. It is intended to generate customer interest, monitor adoption, and gather final feedback before General Availability. myOneTrust article will include a disclaimer that the feature(s) are under preview. Listed in release notes under each module's Public Preview Features section. |
Fully released and enabled by default across all environments. Complex infrastructure features may roll out gradually. Listed in release notes under each product's General Availability section. |
Release Types
Seasonal releases are quarterly announcements of major product enhancements that are generally released to give customers comprehensive feature sets to solve common use cases or address highly voted ideas across the Trust Intelligence Platform. The primary benefit is improved change control for our customers, which gives them additional time to learn about upcoming changes, the ability to test new features in preview modes, and a more predictable release schedule to communicate and plan for the changes with their internal teams. These will be annotated in release notes and other deployment materials with the quarter and year, e.g. 202305.1.0 (Spring Release).
Incremental releases will typically contain generic updates, select preview features announcements, or intentional UI enhancements. These occur several times in a quarter and are similar in format to seasonal releases just without the quarterly annotation.
Patch updates are rapid environment deployments (i.e. hotfixes) that may explain resolutions to customer-reported issues, accessibility conformance improvements, or promotions of high-priority features. These can be found in the given module's release notes in the Patch Updates section using the patch update format (e.g., 202208.1.1).

Release Process FAQ
What if I find an issue with my release deployment?
If you find an issue while testing in your UAT environment, please contact OneTrust Support. We will try our best to resolve the issue before releasing to production. If we cannot resolve before releasing to production, depending on the severity of the issue, we will work to resolve the issue in either a patch update or prioritize for upcoming releases. For more information, see Contacting OneTrust Support.
How do I log in with my UAT environment?
Your UAT environment might not use the same account credentials as your production environment. If you cannot log in to your UAT environment, please submit a Forgot Password request or contact OneTrust Support.
