Skip and Show Logic Use Cases
Use Case #1: Using Skip Logic to Skip Questions Using the Equal To Operator
You would like to know if a third-party has a SOC 2 (system and organization controls) available. The skip logic conditions can be configured to skip a set of questions if the third-party already has a SOC 2 and no longer needs to answer the questions in a section designated for third-parties with no SOC 2. If the response configured is Equal to yes, the logic will skip to the next section of the assessment. This use case is configured in the image below:
Use Case #2: Using Show Logic to Show Questions Using the Not Equal To Operator
You are planning to engage a third-party that processes electronic payment data. You want to know if they currently have a PCI DSS certification. The show logic conditions can be configured to show specific questions if they do not have a PCI DSS certification to understand the safeguards in place regarding processing payment data. If the response configured is Not equal to yes, the logic will show a set of questions in the assessment that the third-party is now required to answer. This use case is configured in the image below:
Use Case #3: Using And/Or Logic for Show Logic Conditions
You can use And/Or logic when configuring show logic conditions to allow more flexibility when configuring conditional logic. The And logic can be used by adding a question within an existing condition. The Or logic can be used by adding a new condition. For this use case, you can build a condition so that:
If the question response around personal data Contains any two of the configured responses for Question 1 AND Contains all the configured responses for Question 2
OR
Does not contain the configured responses for Question 1 AND Contains any of the configured responses for Question 2, the selected follow-up question will be shown. This use case is configured in the image below:
