Vulnerability Library Management

You can create a depository of vulnerabilities that can be assigned to risks to assist with the organization and monitoring process of resolving and containing vulnerability within the company.

To create a vulnerability

  1. On the IT & Security Risk Management menu, select Vulnerability Library.

    The Vulnerability Library screen appears.

  2. Click the Add New button.

    The Add New Custom Vulnerability modal appears.

  3. Complete the fields, for more info, see Create Vulnerability Screen Reference.
  4. Click the Add button.

Field
Description
Vulnerability ID

Enter a custom ID number.

Vulnerability Name

Enter the name of the vulnerability.

Status

Select the current status of the vulnerability.

Description

Enter the description of the vulnerability.

Standard/Framework

Enter the standard/framework that coincides with the vulnerability.

Category

Select the category of the vulnerability.

To edit vulnerability details

  1. On the Vulnerability Library screen, select the name of the vulnerability you want to edit.
  2. Click into and edit the fields as needed.
    Note:

    The Status field is locked and cannot be edited when the other fields are in edit mode.

  3. Click the Save button.

To delete vulnerabilities

Note:

You can only delete vulnerabilities in the Archive status.

  1. On the Vulnerability Library screen, click the checkbox of the vulnerability you would like to delete. You can select multiple vulnerabilities at a time.
  2. Click the Delete icon.
    The Delete Records modal appears.

  3. Click the Delete button.

To export the Vulnerability Library

  1. On the IT & Security Risk Management menu, select Libraries > Vulnerability Library.

    The Vulnerability Library screen appears.

  2. Click the Context Menu icon and select Export.
  3. Click the Export button.
    The Report Download modal appears.

  4. Click Close button. The export will be generated in the background. When the report is ready to download, a notification will appear on the Notifications icon.
  5. Click the Notifications icon.
    The Notifications popover appears.

  6. Click the export link in the popover to download the exported list.
