Adding Controls to Exceptions

You can manually add controls to exceptions. The controls added from your library describe the security measures against which you evaluate the exception. The controls available are determined by the contents of your organization's Controls Library. For more information, see Managing the Controls Library.

Control Inheritance

Once an exception is created for a policy, all controls related to that policy will be added to the exception. The related controls will appear on the Controls tab of the Exception Details screen. For example, if Policy A has Control 1, Control 2, and Control 3 related to it, once a user requests an exception to Policy A, Controls 1, 2, and 3 will be automatically added to the exception.

    The Exception Register screen appears.
