Table Enhancements Across the OneTrust Platform
OneTrust is introducing a series of powerful enhancements to tables that make working with data faster, more intuitive, and highly customizable. With features like resizable columns, customizable saved views, and persistent settings, users can tailor their table experience to match their workflow and preferences. These improvements are designed to provide a more seamless and user-friendly interface, improving consistency to users' experience with tables across the platform.
Table enhancements are being introduced gradually and may not be available in all products at this time. Within a given product, some tables may support these enhancements while others may not. These updates will continue to roll out incrementally so availability may vary. Table functionalities that currently exist in the platform today will remain as is for tables that have not yet been upgraded.
What to Expect
The following enhancements may be made available for tables over time for improved usability, accessibility, and efficiency. For more information, see Table Enhancements User Guide.
- Resizable Columns
-
: Users can manually adjust column widths to better fit the content, improving readability and allowing for a more personalized layout.
- More Records per View
-
: Users can increase the number of rows displayed per page, with the minimum number of rows increased to display more than 20 rows at a time, reducing the need for pagination and making it easier to scan and compare data.
- Persistent Table Settings
-
: When users navigate away from a table and return later, their previous settings, such as the current pagination, applied filters, and column widths, are automatically restored. This can be particularly useful when navigating to a specific record's details from the table, as returning to the table will restore your previous view instead of resetting to the first page of the table.
- Accessibility Considerations
-
: Tables have been redesigned to remove nested interactive elements, making them more accessible for screen readers and keyboard navigation.
- Visible Context Menus for Row Actions
-
: Context Menus are now clearly visible and accessible at the start of each row, improving discoverability by eliminating the need to search for the Context Menu or hover over a given row for it to appear.
- Redesigned Filter Interface
-
: The user interface for applying filters has been redesigned to be more intuitive and offer more advanced filtering options that are clearer and easier to configure.
Impact on Documentation and Workflows
- Documentation Updates
-
: Screenshots and step-by-step instructions within myOneTrust articles and other supporting documentation may or may not reflect the new table enhancements. Users should expect some minor visual and procedural differences but no changes to core functionality.
- Workflow Adjustments
-
: While the location of some buttons may have changed, all existing functionality remains intact. Users may need a brief adjustment period to become familiar with the new layout.
