Troubleshooting Site Admin Access
You can use the following solutions to resolve issues concerning account recovery and Site Admin access.
Site Admin has left the company
You can complete one of the following options to grant permissions after a Site Admin has left the company.
-
Have another Site Admin grant the new Site Admin privileges.
Note:If there are no Site Admins who are able to act on your behalf, please contact your Account Executive or create a support case and provide the required information. For more information, see Adding a new Site Admin when there are none remaining.
-
Leverage the "Forgot Password" feature to reset the password for the Site Admin who is no longer with the company.
Adding a new Site Admin when there are none remaining
If you need a Site Admin within your OneTrust platform and one was not added before the last Site Admin departed, OneTrust requires the following information to add a new Site Admin:
-
Confirmation that there are no remaining Site Admins within your OneTrust platform.
-
First name, last name, and email address of the new Site Admin to be added or, if they already exist within the platform, updated to become Site Admin.
-
The account identification number of the instance of the OneTrust platform that requires the new Site Admin. Instructions on how to find your account identification number can be found here: Finding My Account ID.
-
Confirm the last invoice number, amount, and paid date of your account. This can be done through writing or by sending a copy of your latest invoice.
-
Explicit consent from the new Site Admin for the OneTrust Ssupport team to access your instance and database to add them as the new Site Admin.
After you provide the above information to the OneTrust Support team, the process for adding the new Site Admin will begin. Please note that OneTrust will only add a single Site Admin with this process. If you need additional Site Admins afterward, the new Site Admin will have to add any additional Site Admins as needed. For more information, see Adding and Editing Users.
Single Sign-On (SSO) has stopped working
If SSO has stopped working and the Site Admin is locked out, please create a support case.
Site Admin access has expired
If a Site Admin's access has expired, another Site Admin can extend the expired user time by updating the user expiration date accordingly.
If you are still encountering issues, please create a support case.
Current Site Admin is unavailable or not the primary user
If the current Site Admin is unavailable or not the individual who will be managing the OneTrust platform, please reach out to your Account Executive to update the account users.
OneTrust recommends having at least three Site Admins configured for your account/tenant.
