Automation Rule Settings

You can set how frequently individual automation rules are run by enabling the Set Automation Run Frequency setting within Global Settings. When this setting is enabled, a Frequency Run section will appear when configuring automation rules in the platform, allowing you to configure whether an automation rule runs on a daily, monthly, weekly, or quarterly basis. However, if the Set Automation Run Frequency setting is left disabled, automation rules will run on Sundays at 7AM UTC.

CAUTION:

Enabling or disabling the Set Automation Run Frequency setting will only impact net new automation rules created after the change was made. Existing automation rules will continue to run as last configured.

For example, say the Set Automation Run Frequency setting was enabled and automation rule A was configured to run on a monthly basis. If the Set Automation Run Frequency setting is then disabled after automation rule A was configured, automation rule A would continue to run on its configured monthly basis.

To enable the Automation Run Frequency setting

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner to access Global Settings.
  2. On the Global Settings menu, click General Settings > Automation Rules. The Automation Rules screen appears.

  3. Enable the Set Automation Run Frequency setting.

  4. Click the Save button. Once saved, you can navigate to other areas of the platform to create or edit an automation rule. The Frequency Run section will now appear when configuring automation rules, allowing you to configure whether the automation rule runs on a daily, monthly, weekly, or quarterly basis and to specify additional frequency details.
    Note:

All times configured for automation rules are in the UTC time zone.

To disable the Automation Run Frequency setting
