Exporting DataGuidance Tables

You can export tables with applied filters and sorting preferences to either an excel or .png format for external reporting. This allows users to easily download and share relevant subsets of data from the table. This export functionality is supported for the following tables in DataGuidance:

  • Breach Notification Comparison

  • Cookie Requirements

  • Data Transfer Requirements

  • Direct Marketing with subsets included: Emarketing, Telemarketing, and SMS/MMS Marketing

  • Employment Monitoring Comparison

  • Privacy Law Comparison

  • Privacy Rights Comparison

  • Whistleblowing Comparison

To export table data

  1. Navigate to your desired table in DataGuidance. For this example, we are using Data Transfer Requirements.


  2. Apply filters to generate your desired view of the table.


    Tip:

    If you have enabled a collection as the default filter option across the site, the filters will automatically populate the jurisdictions and categories from that collection.



  3. With your filters applied click the Download button, then choose your export option:


  4. The Excel option will create a file titled Comparisons_Table and include the following column details. A legend will be included at the bottom to indicate if there requirements for the given jurisdiction.


  5. The Image option will create a .png image of the table with the same column details. A legend will be included at the bottom to indicate if there requirements for the given jurisdiction.
