Configuring Location Options for Web Forms
You can leverage the location list to manage the selection options that display to end users in the Country field on web forms.
To configure location list options
To edit the location (country) name
All requests submitted before a country name is changed will continue to show the original name given.
Impact of location list changes
The location list allows you to edit the name of countries you operate in and/or have business dealings alongside. When a change is made to the display name of the country, there is some impact to the requests associated with that country. Below is a list of the Privacy Rights Automation functionality that will be impacted:
- Request Queue and Request Details
-
The Request Queue will show the updated location name after the feature is enabled in the tenant.
- Web Form Builder, Visibility Rules, and Automation Rules
-
Web Form Builder, Visibility Rules and Automation Rules for both seeded and custom country fields will display the most recently configured location name.
- Data Subject Portal and Emails
-
The Data Subject Portal and emails will reflect the latest location list configurations for all the requests in the Portal.
- Published Web Forms
-
Published web forms will require republication to reflect the changes made to the location list country names.
- API
-
API calls will reflect any location list updates.
- Reports and Dashboards
-
If a location list country is renamed, requests submitted after the update will display the updated name. All requests prior to update will display the original name.
If a location list country is removed, any request submitted before the update will display the original name.
