Configuring the Unverified Workflow Stage

You can start the deadline countdown on requests as soon as the request is created, regardless of identity verification status, by using the Unverified stage in request workflows. This stage will only be reached by requests that have some type of verification enabled on the web form. Requests submitted through web forms without any verification enabled will go directly to the New stage.

Existing workflows will need to be reactivated to populate an Unverified stage. Older requests processed with the workflow will not be affected.

To create a new workflow

  1. On the Privacy Rights Automation menu, select Setup > Workflows. The Workflows screen appears.

  2. Click the Create New button. The Create New Workflow modal appears.

  3. Select an existing workflow from the Choose an Existing Workflow field.
  4. Enter a name for the new workflow in the Workflow Name field.

  5. Click the Create button. The Workflow Details screen appears with the new workflow. The Unverified stage will precede the New stage.

To configure the Unverified stage

  1. Add User Subtasks and System Subtasks as necessary.
    Note:

Subtasks cannot be required in the Unverified stage.

  2. Enable the setting Auto-calculate request deadline at this stage to set the deadline to be calculated from the new Unverified stage. The Set Deadline modal will appear asking to confirm the deadline setting.

  3. Enable the setting Allow request deadline to be edited at this stage to permit editing of the request deadline while in this stage.

  4. Click the Save button.
  5. Click the Activate button to launch the workflow.
