Data Mapping Automation Terminology Guide

The following terminology is featured in the Data Mapping Automation module and corresponding documentation.


Term	Definition
Assessment	Questionnaire templates sent out to respondents to gather information about your organization’s data use practices.
Inventory list	A list of all inventory records of a specific inventory type (assets, processing activities, legal entities, vendors).
Inventory manager	The interface where users can create and manage attributes and personal data, located in the Setup section of the Data Mapping Automation navigation menu.
Inventory record	An individual item within an inventory list.
Managing organization	The organization that owns the inventory record in OneTrust (e.g., Corporate, HR, etc.), which determines the record's visibility and access for various OneTrust users.
Organizational hierarchy	A structural representation of an organization that determines access to records within the OneTrust platform.
Template	A reusable set of questions that can be sent out to collect responses in the form of an assessment.
