Using the Privacy Notice Search Function

Search for specific privacy notice records across the OneTrust application and review results of the records that contain the words you entered along with high-level details, such as the document type, created date, language, and version number. You can then click the link for any result to quickly navigate to the respective record.

Privacy Notice Management supports the Admin Search use case. The Admin Search is located in the application header.

Note:

If your organization would prefer to turn off the search function, the feature can be disabled on the Subprocessor Controls screen within Global Settings. For more information, see To disable or enable Search.

Admin Search

This is the platform search. Admins can search for keywords across titles and content for privacy notices. The Admin Search results will take admins to the Privacy Notice Management module to view details and the document builder.

The search results will navigate users to the admin portal to view document details and versions.

Navigation

  1. Log into the OneTrust application.

  2. On the Global Header, click the Search icon. The Search field appears.

  3. Enter keywords for which you want to search and press Enter. The Search popover will then populate with documents that contain the words you entered.

Note:

The search results are based on a score. The more inputs of the keyword in a document, the higher it will appear on the results list.
