Adding a CCPA Opt-Out Notice to a Joomla Site

Joomla is a free open-source Content Management System (CMS) based on PHP and and MySQL. A Cookie Consent Extension is available for download from the Joomla Extension Library.

To Add a CCPA Opt-Out Notice

  1. Login to your Joomla Dashboard.
  2. From the Control Panel menu, select Install Extensions.
  3. Search for CookiePro and select the CookiePro CCPA extension.
  4. Click the Install button.
  5. Next select Plug-ins from the Extensions menu.
  6. Search for and select the CookiePro CCPA extension.
  7. Change the status of the CookiePro CCPA extension to Enabled.
  8. Customize the Button Settings in the Button Settings tab. See the Button Settings Screen Reference.
  9. Customize the Modal Settings in the Modal Settings tab. See the Modal Settings Screen Reference.
  10. Click the Save button.

If enabled, the option will appear on the site.

Utilize the IAB CCPA framework to Opt-out of Sale

If Opt-out of Ad Partners status is enabled, IAB text will be passed in the framework to CCPA script.

My business has signed the IAB Limited Service Provider Agreement

If Opt-out of Ad Partners and Utilize the IAB CCPA framework to Opt-out of Sale and My business has signed the IAB Limited Service Provider Agreement status is enabled, then the LSPA status will be passed as true to CCPA script, otherwise false will be passed.

Toggle Label

If Opt-out of Ad Partners status is enabled, add Toggle Label.

Message

If Opt-out of Ad Partners status is enabled, add Message.

Confirm Label

If Opt-out of Ad Partners status is enabled, add Confirm Label.
