Copying a Preference Center into a Trust Center
This article outlines the process for migrating your existing preference center configuration into the new Trust Center. To simplify the transition, you are now able to copy your current setup and automatically transfer all compatible elements, transferring as much data as possible. This involves converting the preference center schema to align with the Trust Center’s structure. A key difference to note is that while the preference center uses individual purposes and data elements as building blocks, the Trust Center groups them into sections, which the copying process will convert automatically.
What is copied from the preference center to the Trust Center?

Considerations before copying content
Purposes and data elements
The preference center allows you to add individual purposes and data elements, while the Trust Center organizes them into sections. Before copying any content, please follow the steps below and complete the necessary conversions.
-
In the Trust Center, adjoining purpose blocks from the old preference center will be consolidated into a single Consent preferences section.
Note:The layout follows a one-column format. The selected input type will be preserved.
-
Adjoining data element blocks in the old preference center will be merged into a single Data element section in the Trust Center.
-
Text blocks in the old preference center will be converted to Text block sections in the Trust Center.
-
When Enable Page-Level Subscription Settings is on, the converted page of the old preference center must include an Unsubscribe footer at the bottom of the page.
-
Sections in the old preference center will be copied as Section headers in the new Trust Center.
-
Pages in the old preference center will be copied as pages in the new Trust Center.
Translations
If the Trust Center does not support a language available in the preference center, that language is excluded.
Translations of the default language in the preference center will be mapped to the corresponding section content in the Trust Center.
