Managing Attributes for AI Governance

You can add custom attributes to an AI Governance object type to act as data points to drive essential processes in your AI Governance programs.

To manage attributes

  1. On the AI Governance menu, select Setup > Inventory manager.

    The appears.

  2. Choose which inventory type you want to configure by clicking the View button.

  3. In the Attributes tab, click the Create new button.

    The Add attribute modal appears.

  4. Complete the fields to create your attribute and its unique details.

    Field
    Description
    Name

    Enter a unique name for this attribute.

    Description

    Enter a description for this attribute.

    Response Type

    Choose one of the following to populate unique fields for the attribute.

    • Text: Requires a user to enter free text in response to the attribute. Maximum of 1,000 characters.

    • Single Select: Requires configuration of option values and a choice from the System List.

    • Multi Select: Requires configuration of option values and a choice from the System List.

    • Date: Allows users to select or enter a date.

    • Date and Time: Allows users to select or enter a date and time.

    • Numerical - Text: Requires a user to enter a number in response to the attribute.

    • Numerical - Single Select: Requires configuration of option values and a choice of a numerical text.

    • Score: Requires configuration of scoring ranges for the attribute, either as a standard or formula.

    • Formula: Requires configuration of a formula with mathematical functions and other attributes.

    Add Other

    Appears only for the following response types:

    • Single Select

    • Multi Select

    Required

    Mark if this attribute is required for the custom object.

  5. Click the Save button. The new attribute will appear in the list screen on the Attributes tab.

To edit attribute details

  1. On the AI Governance menu, select Setup > Inventory manager.

    The Inventory manager screen appears.

  2. Choose which inventory type you want to configure by clicking the View button.

  3. In the Attributes tab, click on the name of an attribute.

    The Attribute details screen appears.

  4. Click the Edit button.

    The Edit attribute modal appears.

  5. Modify the attribute's name and description as necessary. You can also mark the attribute as Required.
  6. Click the Save button.

To add options to existing attributes

  1. On the AI Governance menu, select Setup > Inventory manager.
    The Inventory manager screen appears.
  2. Choose which inventory type you want to configure by clicking the View button.

  3. Go to the Attributes tab.
  4. Select an attribute with multiple configured options.

    The Attribute details screen appears.

  5. Go to the Options tab.
  6. Click the Add options button.

    The Add options modal appears.

  7. Add additional options to the attribute as necessary, then click the Save button.

To reorder attribute options

For select response types, you can customize the display order of attribute options when managing records. Reordering is supported for system and custom attribute options with the following response types:

  • Single Select

  • Multi Select

  • Numeric - Single Select

  1. Navigate to the Options tab in Attribute details screen of an attribute. The existing active options will be listed in their current order.

  2. Click the Reorder options button.

    The Reorder options modal appears.

  3. Enable the setting Customize option order, then click the icon to drag-and-drop an option value to your preferred spot.

  4. You can also select the checkbox to use the directional placement arrows for reordering options in bulk.

  5. Click the Save button to exit the modal. The Active Options list will update with the new order.

To deactivate attribute options

  1. On the AI Governance menu, select Setup > Inventory manager.

    The Inventory manager screen appears.

  2. Choose which inventory type you want to configure by clicking the View button.

  3. Go to the Attributes tab.
  4. Select an attribute with multiple configured options.

    The Attribute details screen appears.

  5. Go to the Options tab.
  6. In the Active options group, hover over the row of an active option to reveal and click the Context Menu icon.
  7. Select Deactivate.

    The Deactivate option modal appears.

  8. Click the Confirm button. The option will be moved to the Inactive options group.

To activate attribute options

  1. On the AI Governance menu, select Setup > Inventory manager. The Inventory manager screen appears.

  2. Choose which inventory type you want to configure by clicking the View button.

  3. Go to the Attributes tab.
  4. Select an attribute with multiple configured options.

    The Attribute details screen appears.

  5. Go to the Options tab.
  6. In the Inactive options group, hover over the row of an inactive option to reveal and click the Context Menu icon.
  7. Select Activate.

    The Activate option modal appears.

  8. Click the Activate button. The option will be moved to the Active options group.
