Using ForgeRock for Targeted Data Discovery

If your organization uses ForgeRock for identity and access management, you may want to integrate this data with your request workflow in OneTrust.

Integrating your customer access data with your request workflow can help to automate the response and management of data privacy requests from individuals.

About the ForgeRock Privacy Rights Workflow

OneTrust provides a default workflow that can be used to access information from your ForgeRock instance in order to automate the service of requests from data subjects and consumers.

The workflow is pre-configured to find information about a specific individual and return the data to a subtask in your request process. It is triggered based on the creation of a system subtask in the request workflow.

To activate the ForgeRock data subject access rights workflow

  1. On the Privacy Rights Automation menu, select Data Discovery.

    The Data Discovery screen appears.

  2. Click the Go Now button next in the ForgeRock row.

    The Integration Details screen appears.

  3. Click the Add button.

The Add Workflow Name modal appears.

  4. Add a name for the workflow and then select the credentials that should be used to authenticate the integration.
    Note:

If you do not already have credentials set up for this integration, you can set them up by going to Integrations > Credentials on the Integrations menu.

  5. Click the Create button.

    The Workflow Builder screen appears.

  6. Update and configure the workflow as necessary.
    Note:

The pre-configured workflow represents a basic integration that reads data from ForgeRock and returns the results to a subtask in the data subject request. You can add additional steps or configuration to suit your organization's needs.

  7. Click the Activate button. A confirmation dialog appears.
  8. Click the OK button.
