Best Practices and Expert Advice

Creating Custom Control Frameworks

Export any of our pre-seeded controls and re-import those controls to create a modified control set in bulk. When reimporting the controls, enter a unique name in the framework field to avoid any duplicates with the existing framework. For example, ISO 27001 – Customer Name or UCF – Customer Name. If you are creating a custom framework, you can enter any value for the framework and category fields.
Note:

Exporting and reimporting an existing control set with a new framework name will delete any pre-seeded control relationships.

You can also create custom control library attributes to create various fields on the custom controls. For more information on creating control library attributes, see Adding, Editing, and Deactivating Attributes.
