Configuring Control Workflow Routing Rules

You can automate the assignment of controls to workflows using condition-based routing rules based on the details in the control when they are added to OneTrust. These routing rules help provide more control and flexibility when using workflows to monitor and respond to controls.

Note:

Routing rules only trigger when a new control is created. A new routing rule will not run on existing controls or when a control is edited.

To add a routing rule

  1. On the IT & Security Risk Management menu, select Setup > Workflow.

    The Workflows screen appears.

  2. Select the View button on the Control Workflows tile.
  3. Click the Routing Rules tab.

    The Routing Rules screen appears.

  4. Click the Create Rule button to add a new card to the list.
  5. Enter a name for the new rule.
  6. Complete the fields. For more information, see Routing Rules Screen Reference.
  7. Click the Save button to save the routing rule.
