Creating Rule-Based Groups for Policy Campaigns

Rule-based groups allow you to create groups based on policy campaign attributes. This in turn provides campaign distribution in bulk based on defined criteria for a targeted group of users and their associated metadata. you can select this rule-based group to assign action items to users whose data matches these attributes.

Important:

Prior to configuring rule-based groups, ensure you have created attributes as needed to configure the detail fields of your users. For more information, see Managing Policy Campaign Attributes.

To configure rule-based groups

  1. On the Campaigns menu, select Rule-Based groups.

    The Rule-Based Group screen appears.

  2. Click the Create Rule-Based Group button.
  3. Enter a unique name for the rule-based group.
  4. Define the conditions in which the rule should be triggered.

    ALL
    If you select ALL, the rule will only be initiated if all of the conditions are met.
    Note:

    This option only appears if you add more than one condition to the rule-based group.

    ANY
    If you select ANY, the rule will be initiated if any one of the conditions are met.
    Note:

    This option only appears if you add more than one condition to the rule-based group.

    Trigger

    Select the condition(s) that must be met to initiate the rule-based group. This field is populated by pre-defined attributes.

    Operator

    Select the relationship that must be met between the trigger and value.

    Value

    Select the value that applies to your condition(s). This field will populated with pre-defined attribute options, if available.

    Add Condition Block

    N/A

    Click the Add condition block button to add more conditions to the rule-based group.
  5. Click the Save button to add the new rule-based group to the list screen.
