Insights Cookie Consent Dashboards (Solution Packaging)

Important:

The enhanced Insights Dashboard for Cookie Consent is available for customers with solution packaging only.

For information on Insights features available with legacy packaging, including default features, see Insights Cookie Consent Dashboards (Legacy Packaging).

The Cookie Consent Dashboards allows you to report on data captured by the Cookie Consent module. You can utilize the data available on the Cookie Consent Dashboards to view information about overall consent rates, geographic trends, and the devices leveraged by users for enhanced insight into your organization's consent strategy.

Understanding opt-out signals across web and mobile properties is critical for compliance and user trust. Regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and Apple’s ATT framework require organizations to honor user preferences. By using the Insights Dashboard, you can monitor these signals in real time, identify trends, and adjust consent strategies proactively. This visibility helps avoid compliance risks, informs marketing attribution, and improves user experience.

Using the Cookie Consent Dashboard

The Cookie Consent module offers the following default seeded dashboards:

  • Hourly Cookie Consent Default: This dashboard is configured with the Hourly Data (Last 7 Days) Data Level. The data on this dashboard offers more real-time metrics.

    Note:

This dashboard can be viewed in UTC or the user's time zone by clicking the Context Menu icon and switching between either option.

  • Daily Cookie Consent Default: This dashboard is configured with the Daily Data (Last 13 Months) Data Level. The data on this dashboard is refreshed every four hours.

  • Monthly Cookie Consent Default: This dashboard is configured with the Monthly Data (Last 2 Years) Data Level.

    CAUTION:

Cookie Consent Insights Dashboards configured with the Monthly Data (Last 2 Years) data level do not support daily filtering and will show data for the entire month. If you are applying filters, you must ensure that the 1st day of the month is included in the filter; otherwise, no data will appear on the dashboard.

For example, if you apply a filter of January 1st to January 2nd on a monthly dashboard, data from the entire month of January (1st - 31st) will appear on the dashboard. If you apply a filter of January 2nd - January 31st, no data will appear on the dashboard because January 1st was excluded from the filter.

The overall consent rate is calculated by adding up the Opt-In, Opt-Out, Not Given, and No Choice percentages. However, please note that percentages are rounded up to two decimal places, which may result in rounding errors while calculating the total sum of percentages/rates in case of recurring decimal places.

FAQ

How are the Insights dashboard rates broken down?

The Insights dashboard has three new default CMP dashboards called the following:

Important:

These defaults are available for customers with solution packaging only.

  • Daily CMP Signals

  • Hourly CMP Signals

  • Monthly CMP Signals

For monthly reports, you can update the windowStartDate in the Filters pane to pull data from the last 13 months.

For yearly reports, you can update the windowStartDate in the Filters pane to pull data from the last two years.

Why is the opt-in/opt‑out calculation different between the legacy dashboard and the Insights dashboard?

The legacy dashboard used receipts as the denominator, whereas the Insights dashboard uses transactions as the denominator. With recent enhancements to the calculations, the dashboards have been separated to focus on specific functions such as banner interactions and signal opt‑out calculations to make these differences clearer. If you have migrated and would like to continue using transactions as the denominator, it is recommended to use the data table to support this.

On the Interactions tab, why can't I view past interactions?

As part of the 2026 Winter Release, the banner interactions are now captured from that moment in time, and will not include information prior to the release.

Why are disabled categories/purposes still displaying receipts metics?

For compliance and auditing purposes, consent receipts are immutable once generated. If receipts for a specific purpose were generated at any point historically, those records will continue to appear in reporting even if that purpose is currently hidden or no longer active in the template.

Why is the receipt count on my dashboard different from the receipt count in my bulk export?

The Insights dashboard is largely designed for reporting trends and may display minor day-level variances in receipt count due to date-based aggregation logic. If a bulk export receipt count is higher than the count on your Insights dashboard for a specific day, the export's receipt count can be considered the accurate value.
