Adding Incidents through an Assessment
You can configure assessment templates to automatically create and update incident records as part of the assessment workflow. There are several reasons why users would want to have an incident assessment:
-
Allow business users to self-report
-
Allow people outside of the incident investigation to provide information needed in the investigation
-
Standardize your investigation through a questionnaire
All inventory and data elements selected within an incident type assessment will be automatically inherited to an incident record once the assessment is approved. The related inventory and/or data elements will be added to the Related tab of the Incident Details screen and the corresponding Inventory Details screen will have the incident record.
You can further configure the template to populate the Incident Details screen with specific question responses.
You can set the default naming convention for incidents created via assessments by navigating to Global Settings and selecting .
