About Incident Management Management
OneTrust Incident Management helps organizations manage incidents, automate tasks, and maintain records for improved compliance and notification response. The tool is powered by OneTrust DataGuidance® Research intelligence, an innovative database of global privacy and breach laws, integrated directly into the OneTrust platform. Privacy professionals can build automated workflows embedded with context and attribute values that helps their organizations react to incidents and audits according to applicable laws or custom use cases.
Incident Management Dashboard
The Dashboard offers a comprehensive view of your organization's capacity with visualizations that provide critical metrics about your incidents. You can build custom dashboards with the goal of optimizing your organization's capacity.
Incident Register
Utilize the Incident Register as your organization's preferred repository for documenting individual incident details, stage progression, assessments, subtasks, jurisdictions, attachments, guidance, and activities. Foster accountability and priority decision-making by assigning owners, establishing deadlines, and scheduling reminders for your most pressing incidents in the Incident Details screen.
Databreachpedia
Databreachpedia is a global data breach regulation database your organization can use to pair an incident to its corresponding data protection law or jurisdiction and subsequent notification requirements, timelines, and contact details. Each entry includes an overview of the relevant data protection law and external links to the applicable legislation.
Templates
Users can utilize incident templates like the Simplified Initial Incident Report to create and launch assessments. You can use the Templates screen to configure existing templates or to create a blank, custom template.
Incident Workflows & Rules
Configuring your workflow for optimal assessment automation is one of the most effective ways to improve response notification times. Workflows & Rules helps organizations create ruled-based automated workflows based on jurisdictional law, geographic location, and severity classification for improved breach investigation and notification. Users also have the ability to create condition-based routing rules that automate the assignment of workflows to incidents based on incident details.
Incident Types
The Incident Type screen shows all active and inactive incident types. Users have the ability to add new incident types and save the new types for future use. Inactive incident types can be activated on this screen.
Web Forms
The Web Forms screen allows users to build a web form using the web form builder. The web form can be used to generate a link that external users can use to submit incidents to the Incident Register. Users also have the ability to copy the web form script to add an incident web form to a preexisting website using an iFrame.
Attribute Manager
The Attribute Manager allows users to create and view active and inactive attributes. You have the ability to create custom attributes to further describe the nature of an incident. Edit, activate, deactivate, or translate these options in the Attribute Manager screen. On the Attribute Details screen, you can add custom options to the attribute. These attributes can be added to Incident assessments. Users also have the ability to create groups of attributes which appear during incident creation on the Incident Details screen.
