Customizing Text on Verification Screens

Note:

Customizing verification screens is currently under preview. If your organization would like to enable access to any of the preview features listed below, please contact OneTrust Support to submit the request.

You can provide custom text on verification screens presented to data subjects using live web forms enabled with Phone Verification or Third-Party ID Verification. This web form configuration ability allows DSAR admins and approvers to write their own Header and Message text to display unique messaging for the Success and Failure screens.

To enable phone or third-party verification

To customize text

  1. On the Privacy Rights Automation menu, select Setup > Web Forms. The Web Forms screen appears.

  2. Click the View button on the web form you want to customize. The Web Form Customization screen appears.

  3. In the Web Form tab, open the Form Text section.
  4. Select the Edit icon for Phone/Third-Party Verification Text.

  5. The verification fields will be seeded with default text. Provide your custom messaging for the following, then click Back to save your changes.

  6. To demonstrate the end result in Step 9, the following text has been applied to an example web form:

  7. Click the Save Template button.
  8. Click the Publish button to activate your web form.
  9. When this web form is used to submit a request, a data subject will have to answer the challenge questions or confirm their given contact method (i.e. phone number with OTP).

They will be presented with either the Success or Failure screen. The example images below reflect slight modifications to the existing default text to demonstrate this customization ability.
