Viewing Activity History

You can view the audit log for inventory records, attributes, and personal data to review changes made over time, and view which user made the changes.

For personal data, you can also track an item's source/creation.

To view activity history of an inventory record

  1. On the Data Mapping Automation menu, select Assets, Processing Activities, Legal Entities, or Vendors. The corresponding inventory list screen appears.

  2. Select the name of an inventory record from the list. The Inventory Details screen appears.

  3. Go to the Activity tab. The activity history appears.


  4. Click the Sort icon to change the order of the activity log (ascending/descending).
  5. Click the Expand icon to expand each section to show details about the changes made.
  6. Click the Collapse All button to close the detail view for each item.
    Note:

    The Expand All button appears in place of the Collapse All button when all of the items are collapsed.

To view activity history of an attribute

Note:

Activity history is only available for inventory attributes (asset, process, entity, and vendor).

  1. On the Data Mapping Automation menu, select Inventory Manager. The Inventory Manager screen appears.

  2. Click the View button on the attribute type tile. A corresponding list of attributes appears.


  3. Hover over the row for the attribute you want to view until the Context Menu icon appears.
  4. Select the Context Menu icon. The Context menu appears.

  5. On the Context menu, select View Activity from the drop down option. The Attribute Activity modal appears.


  6. Click the Close button.

To view activity history of personal data

  1. On the Data Mapping Automation menu, select Inventory Manager from the Setup section. The Inventory Manager screen appears.

  2. Click View on the Personal Data Configuration tile. The Personal Data Configuration Screen appears.

  3. Click the name of a data subject type, data category, data classification, or data element.
  4. Go to the Activity tab for the piece of personal data you've selected.


  5. View the activity source and history of your selection.
    Note:

    The sources of activity include Bulk Import or PII Discovery. Changes made through the personal data screen or public APIs will also appear.
