Manually Skipping Assessment Review Stages

Using PIA & DPIA Automaton, you can skip review stages in your assessment workflows. This enables you to expedite the review process by bypassing any unneeded review stages. You can also move assessments back to previous review stages if further review is required.

You will need the Assessment Skip Review Stages permission to access this functionality.

Important:

As part this feature, the Assessment Send Back to Under Review, Assessment Send Back to Any Review Stage, and Vendor Assessment Send Back to Any Review Stage email templates have been deprecated. Email notifications for forward and backward stage changes now use the Assessment Approval Stage Changed email template. If an assessment is reopened to the In Progress stage, an email notification is triggered that uses the Assessment Reopened template.

To skip a stage

  1. On the PIA & DPIA Automaton menu, select Assessments > Active. The Assessments list screen appears.

  2. Select an assessment from the list. The assessment displays.
  3. Using the review stages in the header, select a review stage to which you want to move the assessment. The Move Stages modal appears.


    Note:

    Stages cannot be manually skipped if an assessment is in the Not Started or In Progress stages.

  4. Enter any relevant comments.
  5. Click the Confirm button. The assessment progresses to the selected stage.
