Configuring Intelligent Rules for the Trust Center

You can configure your Trust Center with visibility rules to dynamically show, hide, or configure specific parts of your interface.

Use cases

Multiple brands

: If your business manages consent for multiple brands, users may only be familiar with one. Using rules, you can hide consent, data, or sections, that correspond to other, less familiar brands. Leverage theQuery parametercondition to specify in the URL the target brand, or use a profile data element to establish the brands the person is familiar with.

Regional experiences

: If your business operates in more than one region, you can configure visibility rules to display distinct purpose choices based on the data subject’s geolocation. For example, your business may have data subjects in two countries, such as the United States and Canada. You can create a rule to hide Canadian business purposes, configured as Marketing Communications, from US data subjects. When logging in from the US, the Marketing Communications purpose is not visible.

Streamline the Trust Center experience

: Because visibility rules provide greater control over the experience your Trust Center provides, you can leverage rules to hide irrelevant content and simplify your end users' interactions.

To create visibility rules for a Trust Center

  1. On the Trust Center menu, select Portals. The Trust Center portals screen appears.

  2. Click the link in the Portal column for the Trust Center that you want to configure.
  3. Navigate to the Rules tab. The rules for the Trust Center appear.

  4. On the Rules tab, click the Create rule button. A rule configuration modal appears.
  5. Configure the rule. For more information, see Rule Configuration Screen Reference.
    Note:

Multiple conditions can only be associated via and logic. This allows for more predictable execution.

If you need to configure more than one condition with or logic, create a duplicate rule for each condition.

  6. Click the Add button to add the rule to the Trust Center.
