Managing AI Features in the OneTrust Platform

Important:

The Client AI Feature Management (Opt-in / Opt-out) feature is available for customers with solution packaging only.

The AI Management section in Global Settings lets Site Admins in the root organization control AI features for the OneTrust account. Admins can enable or disable OneTrust AI, then manage each AI feature section and its included features to align available capabilities with their organization’s needs and compliance requirements.

To manage all AI features in bulk

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner to access Global Settings.
  2. On the Global Settings menu, select AI management > AI features. The AI features screen appears.

  3. Enable OneTrust AI is the primary setting for AI access in the platform. When enabled, users can access OneTrust Copilot and other supported AI capabilities based on their individual access and permissions.


  4. When selected, all available AI features will be enabled on the screen.


  5. To disable all AI features in bulk, turn off the Enable OneTrust AI setting. A confirmation modal will appear to approve this action.


To manage AI feature sections

When the parent section setting is turned on, all included features in that section are enabled. When the parent section setting is turned off, all included features in that section are disabled.

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner to access Global Settings.
  2. On the Global Settings menu, select AI management > AI features. The AI features screen appears.

  3. Enabling the parent feature section, like Ask Copilot or Recommendations, will turn on all the included features in the set.


  4. Select the setting again to disable the section and all included features.

To manage specific AI features

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner to access Global Settings.
  2. On the Global Settings menu, select AI management > AI features. The AI features screen appears.

  3. Locate and enable a specific feature, like Privacy Risk Agent. This will also enable the section feature (e.g. Ask Copilot) and the main Enable OneTrust AI feature if it was not already turned on.


  4. To disable that specific feature, simply select the setting again to turn it off.
    Important:

    If only one included feature remains enabled and that feature is turned off, the parent section also turns off.
