Content Library
The Content Library gives you a personal workspace within the Documentation Portal where you can save, organize, and curate the content you use most often. Instead of searching for the same articles repeatedly, you can build your own collection of trusted resources and even create custom publications tailored to your team's needs.
What Is the Content Library?
The Content Library allows you to save documentation pages to a personal library for easy access later.
Think of it as your own documentation bookshelf. As you find articles, guides, and topics that are important to your role, you can add them to your library and organize them in a way that makes sense to you.
The Content Library is tied to your user profile and requires Single Sign-On (SSO) to be enabled.
What Benefits Will I Get from the Content Library?
- Quickly Access Frequently Used Content
-
Save the documentation you reference regularly so it's always easy to find.
Instead of searching for the same topics over and over, your most important resources are available in one centralized location.
- Organize Content Your Way
-
Create a structure that works for your team, project, or business process.
You can rearrange and organize saved content within your library, helping you group related articles together and prioritize the information that's most important to you.
- Review Content Offline
- Saved content can be viewed and prepared for printing, making it easier to use documentation in workshops, training sessions, meetings, and other scenarios where a compiled reference guide may be helpful.
- Build Team-Specific Documentation Sets
- Different teams often need different subsets of documentation. The Content Library makes it easy to collect the exact content your team needs without requiring anyone to search across the entire portal.
Create Custom Publications
One of the most powerful features of the Content Library is the ability to create custom Publications.
- Customize the Structure
-
When creating a Publication, you can:
- Select topics from your Content Library
- Choose which content to include
- Change the order of topics
- Create your own hierarchy and structure
- Organize content around a specific use case, implementation, project, or training program
- Generate a PDF
-
Once your Publication is assembled, you can generate a PDF version for distribution and collaboration.
This allows you to create customized documentation packages tailored to a specific audience without needing to create or maintain separate documentation.
- Share with Your Team
-
Custom Publications make it easy to provide colleagues, partners, and stakeholders with a focused set of documentation relevant to their needs.
Examples include:
- Implementation guides
- Administrator handbooks
- Training materials
- Product-specific reference guides
- Team onboarding packages
- Project documentation collections
