Using the Privacy Notice Gallery

You can utilize templates when creating documents for your organization. The templates provide a suggested structure to help you easily create documents.

To create a notice using a template

  1. On the Privacy Notice Management menu, select Setup > Templates. The Templates screen appears.
    Note:

    If you own the Policy Management module, the menu will be named Policy.

  2. Click the View button on the Privacy Notice Templates tile.
  3. Click the Choose From Gallery button. The Gallery screen appears.

  4. Hover over the template you want to create until the Preview button appears.
  5. Click the Preview button to review the notice and the sections included within the selected privacy notice.
    Note:

    You can click the Preview button on other privacy notices in the gallery pane.

  6. Click the Choose Privacy Notice button. The Input Notice Details modal appears.

  7. Complete the fields, for more info, see Input Privacy Notice Details Screen Modal.
    Note:

    All active custom attributes will appear as fields on the Input Privacy Notice Details screen.

  8. Click the Create button. The Privacy Notice Details screen appears. For more information on building your new notice, see Building and Editing Privacy Notices.

Enter the name of the new privacy notice.

Privacy Notice Description

Enter a brief description of the privacy notice.

Managing Organization

Select the name of the organization responsible for the privacy notice.

Default Language

Select the default language of the document.

Privacy Notice Owners

Select the owner(s) for the privacy notice.

Privacy Notice Approvers

Select the approver(s) for the privacy notice.

Effective Date

Select an effective date for the privacy notice.

Expiration Date

Select an expiration date for the privacy notice.

The following templates are available in the Privacy Notice Gallery and can be used to create a report.

Used to create a privacy notice that outlines the notice, discolsure, correction, and deletion requirements in CPRA.

Canada Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) Privacy Notice – 1.0

Used to create a privacy notice using the suggested structure for a privacy notice based on PIPEDA and the official guidance of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC).

China Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) Privacy Notice – 1.0

Used to create a privacy notice using the suggested structure for a privacy notice based on the PIPL and related regulations and guidelines.

Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) Privacy Notice -1.0

Used to create a privacy notice using the suggested structure for a privacy notice based on the CPA and related regulations and guidelines.

EU Multi-State Privacy Notice Template 1.1

Used to facilitate a unified approach to complying with various EU legal frameworks based on the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (the “GDPR”) for the processing of consumer data by integrating different country-specific requirements into a single template.
