CNIL Mobile/CTV/OTT App Requirements

Note:

The CNIL Mobile App Requirements feature is currently under preview. If your organization would like to enable access to any of the preview features listed below, please contact OneTrust Support to submit the request.

The French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) requires that consent be given as a result of positive action on the part of the site visitor on a mobile experience (see original announcement in French here). Continuing to use the app is not considered a positive action and therefore does not constitute a positive action on the part of the app user. Furthermore, refusal of consent must be accessible on the same screen with equal ease as the option to give consent.

CNIL urges organizations to bring websites and apps in compliance with new cookie and mobile/CTV/OTT app compliance rules.
