DORA Data Validation Bulk Update Step-By-Step Instructions

Important:

The DORA Report Generation feature is available for customers with solution packaging only.

Overview

This article is for customers with DORA records that existed before the DORA Data Validation update in Third-Party Risk Management. The data validation update adds a Parent/child linking capability for four DORA attributes. When inheritance is enabled, a child record can share the parent’s value for these attributes. Duplicate values on records that are not connected through a supported Parent/child link remain blocked to reduce errors in the final report.

Important:
  • After the data validation update deploys, if you had existing DORA records that contain duplicate entries in critical attribute fields for the validation, an error message will inform you that duplicate records exist.

  • You may be unable to save when duplicate values exist across unrelated records, sibling local records without a supported inherited parent/child path, or records with inheritance disabled. To let a child record share the parent’s value, establish the supported Parent/child link and enable inheritance. A duplicate value entered on records that are not connected through that link remains blocked. Values shared through the supported inherited parent/child relationship do not require bulk remediation; use the bulk update procedure only for historical records that still require correction or synchronization.

The instructions below guide you on how to identify critical attribute fields that require unique identifiers, and use the bulk update function to update your DORA records that contain duplicate entries.

Step 1: Review Attribute Fields that Require Unique Identifiers in Existing DORA Records

This section lists all DORA record attribute fields that must have unique identifiers, and specifies which update template to use for each record type in step 2.

Note:

To use the bulk update procedure, you need to select the correct bulk update template that corresponds to the type of record you are updating.

Identification code of the ICT third-party service provider, Function Identifier (Function), LEI of Entity, and Identification code of the Branch. Unrelated duplicates remain invalid.

Step 2: Bulk Update DORA Records

    Note:

The Impacted Records report is included in the email sent out by OneTrust to customers who have records that need to be updated for the data validation update. It is a spreadsheet entitled: Impacted_Records_[CustomerName].

If you cannot find or need access to the Impacted Records report, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or the OneTrust support team for assistance.

    1. Open both the Impacted Records report and the downloaded update template.
